Lions has managed to overcome mousesports with a 16-4 scoreline in their last match of the group stage. Were mousesports overpowered, or did they lose on purpose?

mousesports were either playing intoxicated and blindfolded, or they have decided they do not want their first match-up of tomorrow to be against the former Frag eXecutors team AGAiN.

Prior to their last match of the group, it was already known that both Lions and mousesports would advance into tomorrow's playoffs, with k1ck and Earthquake being the two exiting teams.

With this in mind, it is being discussed whether mousesports had found their desired side of the bracket and route of opponents for tomorrow's playoffs stage beforehand.

Had mousesports defeated Lions, they would have been placed on the same side of the bracket as AGAiN, and faced them in the first match, and possibly stumbled upon SK Gaming or Natus Vincere.

Now that they have lost to Lions – which they did convincingly easy, they will be up against ESC Gaming in their first match of tomorrow, and possibly Anexis or fnatic should they advance.

While all of this sounds fair enough, it was the way mousesports played their game against Lions that activated peoples' feelers. Barely any tactics, pure rush rounds and overly careless.

As the first half was over, mousesports were down 2-13. Lions is an experienced squad with skilled players, no question about it, but there is no denying the fishiness about the outcome.

Emil "FYRR73" Karlsson agrees, at least judging by the remarks he made while in game playing the match against the German team. Karlsson was seen saying: "It's pretty obvious that you're not playing serious, but whatever."

He later wrote another message to his opponents, saying he "hopes they will try to knife in the quarterfinals and semifinals as well", obviously referring to their suspicious style of play.

When approached by HLTV.org after the match, Karlsson did not wish to comment about the outcome and the match itself.

HLTV.org understands that Lions are in a position to file a complaint about the match, but as far as we know, there is nothing in the rules that covers incidents of such questionable nature.

Apparently, the case is being reviewed by league officials, but little outside of this is known, at least for now. It is not unlikely there will be word about it in the early morning hours.

According to reports, other Lions members have also questioned mousesports' behavior in the encounter that took place on Friday.

HLTV.org was not able to come in contact with any of the mousesports players shortly after the match had concluded.

In addition, there is also a heated discussion about the topic going on in HLTV.org's forum. Users who watched the match are voicing their opinions, both in favor and against mousesports.

Whether tournament officials will act on the incident remains to be seen. Lions and mousesports are either way qualified for the playoffs tomorrow and have been seated in the brackets.
